Why “The Talk” Doesn’t Actually Work Many parents think they need to sit down and have one big conversation about sex. But the truth is… healthy conversations about sexuality happen over time. Instead of one awkward moment, think of it as a series of small, natural conversations. As questions arise. As situations come up. As your teen grows. It's a sad situation when you're not emotionally safe with your spouse but it's very common.
